Governor Peter Obi of Anambra State on Monday gave out N733m to Catholic and Anglican churches to run their schools in the state.

He said the money was for the rehabilitation of primary schools taken over by the state government in 1970 but returned to the missions in 2011.

The governor, who made the donation in Awka, said he was impressed with the churches collaboration in rebuilding education in the state.
