N1.1bn subsidy fraud: Alao, others used forged documents – Witness
A witness in the ongoing trial of three oil marketers, Abdullahi Alao, Opeyemi Ajuyah and Olarenwaju Olalusi, who are facing trial for being culpable in a N1.1 billion fuel subsidy fraud on Wednesday, stated that the trio used forged documents to perpetrate the alleged fraud.
The witness, Mr Mohammed Adedapo, who is an inspector of petroleum products of the Q and Q Control Marine Services Nigeria Limited, made the assertion before Justice Lateefa Okunnu of the Lagos State High Court sitting in Ikeja.
The oil marketers and their firms — Majope Investment Limited and Axenergy Limited, were charged to court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged subsidy infractions.[Nigerian Tribune]
