The lingering crisis in the Nigerian Governors’ Forum, NGF, assumed a new dimension yesterday as a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, ordered Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola and his Niger State counterpart, Dr. Babangida Aliyu, to depose to separate affidavits to determine which of the counsel will represent them in the case before July 17.

Other governors affected by the order are Godswill Akpabio (Akwa Ibom), Isa Yuguda (Bauchi) and Emmanuel Uduaghan (Delta).

The trial judge, Justice Peter Affen, gave the order to resolve the controversy that had greeted the legal representation of the registered trustees of the NGF, cited as 4th defendants in the suit brought by Fashola.
