Reconstruction of N167bn Lagos-Ibadan expressway starts •Jonathan promises completion in 4 years

06072013_news2THE reconstruction and expansion works on the 127.6-kilometre Lagos-Ibadan expressway will cost the Federal Government N167 billion and is expected to be completed in 48 months.

While kicking off the project on Friday in Sagamu, Ogun State, President Goodluck Jonathan said that federal, state and local governments must collaborate to deliver dividends of democracy to the people, irrespective of party affiliations.

The project is being handled by Messrs Julius Berger Plc and Reynolds Construction Company (RCC) Limited.[Nigerian Tribune]
